Hello Leaders! πŸ‘‹

Oh my, a newsletter, finally. This has been long overdue and I apologize. My New Year resolution is returning to a consistent bi-weekly format. Hold me accountable. 🚨

In this edition, we have a new worldwide hackathon, a couple of YSWS events to participate in, along with some updates with the Clubs program. Please always feel free to respond to this email with any questions!

(You're getting this because you're a club leader or in the process of becoming one. You can change the lists you're on or remove yourself from all emails below.)

It's Campfire Time πŸ•οΈ!

Campfire is a game jam happening this February in 200 cities all over the world! Game jams are just like hackathons, where you build games! If you remember me from the last newsletter, I was at Daydream, which was another game jam by Hack Club!

It was really awesome, and as someone who has organized multiple hackathons before, I recommend you organize one too! You will learn a lot; from how to plan an event, reach out to sponsors, budget, and SO MUCH MORE. It’s really fun, especially if you organize one with your club.

Of course, you don’t have to organize one - you can RSVP to attend the closest one to you! Game jams are magical experiences.

Create your own YSWS πŸ€”

Do you build with Python, but can't find a YSWS for it? Use this event to teach skills you love. Any technical project counts for leveling up your club.

We also sent every level 2 club fliers to pass out in your next meeting. It includes a 'communique' from Pyramid Scheme. πŸ‘€
